You must complete your conference registration with Families of SMA prior to reserving your room at the Disneyland Hotel or Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel for the Annual SMA Conference special room rate of $144 per night. This special room rate is available to SMA conference attendees from Sunday, June 9th through Wednesday, June 19th!
Families of SMA has been hosting this conference for 24 years. The weekend will be filled with networking opportunities with other families, workshops, a memorable kids program, a family fun fest and carnival, and opportunities to interact with families and get first hand updates from the researchers. We are looking forward to reuniting as a community at this conference and showing our support for others. As always, the Family and the Research conferences will be running alongside each other. This is the largest conference in the world for those affected by SMA, and also for those involved in providing support and care for SMA patients. There is no other program like it for those affected by SMA. The interactions between the researchers and families at one conference is extremely special. The annual conference also provides our children an opportunity to make new friends and have a great time. We are expecting another great attendance of over 1300 attendees.

Families of SMA is thrilled to offer 2013 Annual SMA Conference Attendees a $5 rebate of Disney Dollars for each room night at the Disneyland Hotel and the Paradise Pier Hotel in the Annual SMA Conference attendee room block! This $5 per night rebate of Disney Dollars can be used at the Disneyland Hotel as well as the Disney Theme Parks and the Downtown Disney restaurants and merchants. For example, if a conference attendee stays at the Disneyland Hotel or Paradise Pier Hotel, in the Annual SMA Conference attendee room block for 4 nights, they would receive $20 in Disney Dollars! The Disney Dollars will be provided to 2013 Annual SMA Conference attendees at the Families of SMA registration area when attendees pickup their conference name tags and folders.

By reserving an accessible room through the hotel, it is not guaranteed that you will receive an accessible room, it is simply a request. All accessible rooms are held by Families of SMA and will be assigned based on the number of requests and needs of the individual. Registration Information Registration will be open through May 9th, 2013, at which time registration will be shut down. Advance purchase is convenient, saves money and let you customize your free time to suit your schedule. Savings are available only on advance purchase. 2013 Annual SMA Conference attendees are eligible for advance purchase of specially priced discounted Disney Meeting/Convention Theme Park tickets. Newly Diagnosed Program Families of SMA will again be offering an amazing support program for all newly diagnosed SMA families to attend the annual conference. Through generous donations and sponsorships, Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy will waiver registration fees for any families newly diagnosed since the previous conference in 2012.
