Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy began sending these new care packages to all newly diagnosed SMA Type II and III families within the United States beginning January 1, 2010. These care packages are made up of many items that have been suggested by SMA families.

The Type II SMA Care Packages include some of the following items:

o Motorized Bubble Blower
o Sheepskin Blanket

o Finger Puppets
o Lightweight balloons on a stick
o Hand Made Quilt
o Small Flag on a Stick
o Small Plastic Animal Toys

o Fisher Price Magna Doodle
