Planning for a Walk-n-Roll
Find others willing to help: One of the keys to your success will be finding other people who are willing to help. Look for volunteers within your immediate family, friends, colleagues, or neighbors. Let people know they can play as large or small a role as they wish. Location/Insurance: If you don't have a clue where to have your walk, start with the local Parks and Recreation Department within your community. Registration: It is time to get those people signed up. You will want to create a registration form for your walk, the National office has a template that can be emailed to you. You will also want to utilize our online registration. Using the online registration is easy, fast, and secure for the registrant and much simpler for you. Sponsorship: Time to start bringing in some money for the fundraiser. The most successful way to secure corporate sponsors is through you and your committee's personal and business contacts. Remember, event if a business cannot financially sponsor the event, see if they can donate an item for your walk (water, auction items, food, etc..).
