Families of SMA has Funded the Following Research for the Quinazoline Program:

1) From 2000 to 2003 to Aurora Biosciences for $2,925,000 for "SMN2 Cell-Bassed Assay Development and Drug Screening on 558,000 Distinct Compounds".

2) From 2002 to 2005 to Medichem/deCODE Chemistry for $5,556,950 for "Medicinal Chemistry and Structure Activity Relationship Determination of 2,4-Diaminoquinazoline Compounds".

3) From 2005 to 2009 to Dr. Arthur Burghes at Ohio State University for $191,500 for "Quinazoline Drug Testing in SMA Mice."

4) In 2006 to Medichem/deCODE Chemistry for $991,819 for "Lead Optimization of 2,4-Diaminoquinazoline Compounds, including Assessment of ADME Properites, Drug Brain Levels, and Early Safety Testing".

5) In 2007 to Medichem/deCODE Chemistry for $1,209,140 for "Finalizing Lead Optimization, Clinical Candidate Selection, and IND -Enabling Studies (GLP 28-day General Toxicology studies, GLP Safety Pharmacology Studies, and GLP Genotoxicity Studies)".

6) From 2007 to 2009, Patent Costs of  $211,500 for "Intellectual Property Protection of Quinazoline Compounds".

7) In 2007 to Paracelsus, Inc. for $18,000 for "Toxicology Consulting".

8) In 2008 to Medichem/deCODE Chemistry for $480,213 for "IND- Enabling Studies on Quinazonline495 (GLP 28-day General Toxicology studies, GLP Safety Pharmacology Studies, and GLP Genotoxicity Studies)".

9) In 2008 to Dr. Mike Kiledjian at Rutgers University for $80,000 for "Mechanism of Action for Drug Mediated Up-regulattion of SMN2".

10) In 2008 to Dr. Christine DiDonato at Children's Memorial Hospital for $18,000 for "Quinazoline495 Drug Testing in SMA Mice".

11) In 2008 to Dr. Wendy Chung at Columbia University for $15,300  for "SMN Gene Expression Analysis on Tissues from Quinazoline Treated SMA Mice".

12) In 2008 to Paracelsus, Inc. for $18,000 for "Toxicology Consulting".

13) in 2009 to Medichem/deCODE Chemistry for $22,000 for "IND Enabling Studies on Quinazonline495 (GLP 28-day General Toxicology studies, GLP Safety Pharmacology Studies, and GLP Genotoxicity Studies)".

14) In 2009 to Dr. Mike Kiledjian at Rutgers University for $214,000 for "Mechanism of Action for Drug Mediated Up-regulattion of SMN2".

15) In 2009 to Medicilon for $44,372  for "Rat and Dog Pharmacokinetic Studies on Quinazonline495".

16) In 2009 to Chantest  for $60,480 for "Cardiac Safety IND-Enabling Studies on Quinazonline495".

17) In 2009 to Paracelsus, Inc. for $40,200  for "Toxicology and Regulatory Consulting".

18) In 2010 to Dr. Christine DiDonato at Children's Memorial Hospital for $54,000 for "Quinazoline495 Drug Testing in SMA Mice".

Total Funding for the Quinazoline Program of $12,150,474.
