Families of SMA has Funded the Following Research for the Oligonucleotide Program: 1) In 2003, to Dr. Ravindra Singh at University of Massachusetts for $155,090 for "Determining the Mechanism of Survival of Motor Neuron Gene Splicing Through Evolutionary Selection". 2) In 2005, to Dr. Ravindra Singh at University of Massachusetts for $194,314 for "Characterization of a Novel Intronic Element as the Potential Therapeutic Target of SMA". 3) In 2005, to Dr. Natalia Singh at University of Massachusetts for $186,824 for "Characterization of Protein(s) that Contribute to SMN Exon 7 Skipping Through a Novel Inhibitory Element". Total Funding for the Oligonucleotide Program of $536,228.
