Our progress towards a treatment and cure for SMA would not be possible if it wasn’t for your efforts and support. The last few years have given our community increased hope as a number of research programs have reached advanced stages of drug development. Our goals now are to launch the next phase of SMA drug development and expand our patient support services.

FSMA is aiming to fund two new preclinical drug development programs in 2011, with more to follow. In addition to progress on the research front, we have new opportunities that will improve medical care and the quality of life for SMA patients. 2011 also holds a little bit of magic for our community as we take The Annual SMA Conference to Walt Disney World. The magical location this year will also be an amazing experience for all of our children.
